EASPD Policy Café: UN Guidelines on deinstitutionalisation and transformation of services for persons with disabilities report

Our policy team is hosting this webinar on the two documents released by the UN that will shape the development and provision of support services for persons with disabilities in the EU.

Join us for an online discussion about the UN Guidelines on Deinstitutionalisation, including in emergencies by the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the Transformation of services for persons with disabilities report of the Special Rapporteur on the rights of Persons with Disabilities, Gerard Quinn. This joint event will take place on 29 March 2023 at 10h00 CEST and will aim at presenting two documents that will be crucial to shape the development and provision of support services for persons with disabilities across the EU and beyond in the years to come.

The Policy Café will be an opportunity to learn more about two recent documents published by the United Nations; one focusing on guidance about de-institutionalisation policies; a second focusing on the transformation of services.

Both these reports are key international papers which will impact the thinking of national governments over the provision of support services to persons with disabilities. These documents will also shape the view of disability services.

Please note, this event is open to EASPD members only!
