Join us and get access to the widest European network of service providers for persons with disabilities and experts!

EASPD is the representative organisation of service providers for persons with disabilities – this is one of our main strategic advantages. We have an extensive membership base which allows us to truly represent the sector at European level. We provide a bridge between the European institutions and organisations working at grassroots level.

If you join EASPD, you can:
  • Receive essential and up to date information on what goes on in Europe and beyond and understand why these issues matter. Let us know what you think and contribute to our lobby and advocacy work.

  • Find out first about funding opportunities and get support accessing them, developing European projects, finding partners, and learning about project management.

  • Get access to a wide range of opportunities to connect and build partnerships with fellow organisations and experts from your field.

  • Benefit from the extensive knowledge of our network by joining our international community of practice, the EASPD member fora. These will allow you to exchange best practices and contribute to the development of innovation in service provision.

  • Strengthen the capacity of your organisation by cooperating at European level and ensure your voice is heard.

  • Make friends and build relationships with people from across Europe and beyond!

Who can become an EASPD member?

Service providers for persons with disabilities in any sector and not for profit networks of services for persons with disabilities located worldwide, can join our network via the different available levels of membership.

EASPD has two levels of membership:

Full members

Full members with a formal voting right to influence the policies of EASPD and subject to a yearly membership fee. These are organisations based within any country of the EU or in a member country of the Council of Europe and are either:

  • Umbrella member organisations (UMOs): not for profit regional or national networks of services for persons with disabilities.
  • Single Agency Member Organisations (SAMOs): organisations providing services to people with disabilities in any sector.

Observer members

Observer members who benefit from a variety of EASPD’s services without a formal voting right and not subject to a membership fee:

  • Candidate observers: UMOs and SAMOs within any country of the EU or in a member country of the Council of Europe which can temporarily benefit, for a period of maximum 1 year from the EASPD membership services.
  • Approved Observers: membership category offered to organisations that support the purposes of EASPD but are not located in a country of the EU or in a member country of the Council of Europe.
Membership fees

Membership fees enable EASPD to provide its services to members and is used to finance the activities and initiatives of the association. The fee is based on the type and size of the member organisation and the Gross domestic product (GDP) of the country to ensure fairness of the contribution. EASPD aims to keep the fees low to allow a wide range of service providers to become part of our European network. The membership fee is calculated on an annual basis from January 1st until December 31st and is adjusted each year according to the inflation rate in Belgium.
