Enhancing Personal and Household Services in Europe: Lessons from Central and Eastern European Countries
As countries continue to move towards the provision of community-based support systems, the demand for personal and household services (PHS) has increased. The PERHOUSE project aims to gather data on the working conditions of sector workers in Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries. This data will help to provide more information on industrial relations and the challenges of the sector in 12 CEE countries. The project also aims to strengthen EU-level social and national dialogue in the sector. Some advantages of this are the setting of benchmarks for the quality of services, providing access to care and non-care service provided in home settings, and improving working conditions.
PERHOUSE is holding its final conference online on 21 June 2024 from 9h30 to 12h30. During the conference, project partners will present the EU stakeholder study and explore the challenges and opportunities in 12 CEE countries through a panel discussion. External experts on PHS and industrial relations have also been invited to explore the link between the PHS sector and EU level social dialogue structures.
The event will be in English and interpretation into Czech, Polish, Slovenian and Slovak will be provided. Automatic real-time captioning in 11 languages will be available via Zoom.
