EASPD Knowledge Café on the EU Framework for Social Services of Excellence for Persons with Disabilities

This webinar aims to present the latest developments in the EU Framework and provide insights into two key studies.

In March 2021, the European Commission launched the European Strategy for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, outlining different initiatives that they will undertake over the years to come. One of these flagship initiatives is the development of an EU Framework on Social Services of Excellence for Persons with Disabilities. This webinar aims to present the latest developments in the EU Framework for Social Services of Excellence for Persons with Disabilities. It will provide insights into two key studies, one study commissioned by the European Commission examining the Disability relevance of quality assurance systems in social services and another study commissioned by EASPD on Service Providers implementation of quality approaches. A representative from the European Commission will also offer an update on the progress of the development of the framework. The objective is to foster understanding and discuss the impact of a framework as such for service providers and persons with disabilities.
