Right To Connect Now project partners met in Brussels for their second transnational project meeting.

On 8th and 9th October, the partners of the Right To Connect Now (RTCN) project met in Brussels for their second transnational meeting. The project, funded by Erasmus+, contributes to bridging the digital divide by creating accessible digital tools for people with intellectual disabilities.

It was an intense and fruitful two days in which research results, design workshops, training materials, and the planning of their upcoming co-design workshops were discussed.

Meeting face-to-face allowed the project partners to share opinions and feedback on the project implementation, and also to test an early prototype of their e-Learning platform. The e-Learning platform, co-designed with people with intellectual disabilities, will help achieve the goal of improving the social inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities.

Pilot partners who are currently implementing co-design workshops, the participation and involvement of persons with intellectual disabilities, and co-design of training materials and the e-Learning platform, were able to give valuable feedback, which was mostly about the course's accessibility to co-creators and end-users.

Over the next few weeks, the partners will focus on the improvement and development of tailor-made accessibility tools, an action made only possible by the collaboration between pilot partners, research partners, and parners with expertise in IT. RTCN will also be focusing on organising the in-person training event for trainers in Spain, where the participants who partook in the co-creation labs will train each other, presenting produced materials and testing a prototype of the e-Learning platform.
