AccessibleEU, the European Accessibility Resource Centre, is a European initiative to promote universal accessibility of products and services, to ensure equal opportunities and inclusion for persons with disabilities.

This year, AccessibleEU is launching the second edition of its online course “Accessible Technology Design”, which aims to foster universal accessibility in digital environments. Through this course, students will be able to:

  • Understand the principles of Universal Design.

  • Know the current European legislation and standards.

  • Frame accessibility as a necessary objective that benefits everyone.

  • Learn about errors in design that cause exclusion and how to avoid them.

This second edition will also introduce a new module on cognitive accessibility, specifically focused on designing technology for people with various kinds of intellectual disabilities.

Students can register on AccessibleEU’s online campus to take part in the course, which will officially begin on 9 September. After that, it will be available until 15 November. The course has an estimated duration of 25 hours and is imparted in English.
