Save the date: The EU24 Engage for the Planet project’s final outreach event is here! The event  will showcase the project’s achievements and the tools developed during the project’s lifetime.

The project aims to boost participation among young citizens, individuals from diverse backgrounds, and mobile union citizens in a gender-balanced manner. It centres on the topics of climate justice, climate change and sustainability in 5 European countries (Sweden, Poland, Germany, Netherlands and France).

Organised by the EU24 Engage for the Planet project, and funded under the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Program (CERV), the ‘Democracy and Inclusion in Times of Climate Crisis’ conference will dive into the topics of diversity and inclusion in relation to the climate crisis.

The conference will address some key themes such as the role of democracy in addressing the climate crisis, with a focus on underrepresented groups, some tools and practices for inclusive democracy and the challenges and opportunities of inclusive democracy from diverse perspectives.

The event will feature:

  • A round table: “Exploring Challenges and Opportunities for Inclusive Democracy in Addressing Climate Crisis from various perspectives”
  • An international award ceremony of a poster competition
  • Tools and good practices for inclusive democracy

The event will take place on 21 June, from 14:00-17:30 CEST.
