EASPD member, Chance B, has had its work on labour market inclusion featured in a short documentary released by the German TV stations ZDF & ARTE.

The 30-minute-long documentary 'What is normal? Living together with and without disabilities' asks how can inclusion work better by exploring a number of projects which promote the inclusion of persons with disabilities.

The projects, which are being implemented in different regions of Germany and Austria, address a number of aspects of inclusion, including the accessibility of the physical environment, supporting the independent living of persons with disabilities as well as promoting the participation of persons with disabilities in the cultural and arts sector.

The documentary also features the work of Chance B, in particular their work to develop a competence-based qualification system for persons with disabilities and thus increasing the access of persons with disabilities have to the open labour market. The programme, known as ToL Dual, recently won the education category of EASPD’s 2021 innovation awards. Funded by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education the programme has designed a qualification program for persons with disabilities in the fields of gardening, retail, hotel business, office administration and craft.

Chance B has therefore designed a qualification program (funded by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education) for our participants in the fields of gardening, retail, hotel business, office administration and crafts. With this KomKom qualification tool we would like to support our practice and come a little closer to the goal of "reducing access barriers to the education sector".
