Burnout FREE project partners met in Cluj-Napoca to share updates on project deliverables.

Burnout FREE project partners finally met for the third transnational project meeting! Held on 16th and 17th March in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, the meeting was hosted by Babes-Bolyai University. Before diving into what happened in the meeting, let's recap what Burnout FREE aims to do.

Burnout FREE project: An overview

Burnout FREE project aims to shed light on the risk of burnout faced by professionals and parents of children with disabilities. The project’s outcomes will be useful not only to prevent burnout, but also to share methodologies and practices to deal with this syndrome.

Burnout represents a serious threat for professionals and parents of children with disabilities and it often leads to social isolation. To avoid this, Burnout FREE project aims at strengthening professionals’ and parents’ emotional and social skills, teaching them how to identify, avoid or recover from burnout.

What happened during the meeting?

In Cluj-Napoca, the project partners thoroughly discussed the project results that still need to be delivered. The University of Zagreb gave an update on training materials dedicated to the prevention and treatment of burnout. The University of Thessaly presented the methodology guide on improving the quality of Early Childhood Intervention services. EASPD then provided updates on the latest promoting activities, with Cyprus Certification Company elaborating on the certifications that will result from the training activities. Outcomes will also include a learning game, managed by THEOFANIS ALEXANDRIDIS KAI SIA EE Omegatech, to give professionals and parents access to evaluation tools, tests, and training materials.

Ultimately, this meeting has allowed project partners to touch base, and ensure that they are all following a common path to successfully deliver the project results.
