EU Disability Rights Strategy (2021–2030): Second Phase Update

Description
This paper provides an overview of the European Commission's enhanced Strategy on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities up to 2030, highlighting its key priorities, actions, and policy developments. It also presents EASPD's initial assessment of the Strategy, identifying its strengths while pointing to areas where further action is needed, particularly on funding, social services, workforce development, and implementation. The paper underlines that the success of the Strategy will depend on translating policy commitments into effective support systems that enable people with disabilities to live, work, and participate on an equal basis across Europe.
