The Recovery and Resilience Facility as a mean to creating community and family-based care

The European Expert Group on the Transition from Institutional to Community-based Care (EEG) would like to invite you to the online event on the 18th November.

The European Expert Group on the Transition from Institutional to Community-based Care (EEG) would like to invite you to the online event “The Recovery and Resilience Facility as a mean to creating community and family-based care” on the 18th of November 2021 from 10:00 to 12:00 CET. See the agenda.

The EEG has closely followed the work on the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) and has publicly called for the EU and its Member States to commit to investing this money in deinstitutionalisation as well as in community-based services, and strictly forbidding any any investments in institutions.

The event will be an occasion to share with all participants an overview of what has been accomplished so far, as well as the potential for good and the risks of the RRF on the life of persons with disabilities, children, homeless people and people with mental health issues. The event will also share some concrete examples of the kind of projects the EEG would like to see funded by the RRF throughout the Member States, to ensure we make progress on deinstitutionalisation in the EU. The EEG’s work on the RRF including the main findings and recommendations for several countries can be found here.
