Have your say: How companies perceive, approach, and implement accessibility across the EU

As part of this year’s activities of AccessibleEU, the European Commission’s resource centre on accessibility, DIGITALEUROPE is conducting a study on how large companies and SMEs across the EU approach accessibility.
The study is analysing all steps of the process, from awareness and perceptions to the design, development, and delivery of accessible products and services. The objective is to identify the main challenges and support needs to strengthen accessibility practices across sectors and Member States.
The study will:
- Map current practices, including the tools, resources, training, and processes businesses use to address accessibility;
- Assess awareness and perceptions of accessibility and relevant EU regulations, such as the European Accessibility Act;
- Identify barriers and challenges companies face when implementing accessibility measures;
- Provide policy recommendations to enhance support for large companies and SMEs.
And the best part is, you can have a say in this research! Your involvement and insights play a fundamental role in advancing accessibility and in supporting industries to make their products and services more inclusive.
You can show your support in two ways:
- By participating to the upcoming workshop, which will take place online on the 30 October 2025. The workshop aims to further explore the findings of the study and provide a platform for dialogue among stakeholders. Registrations are open.
- By filling out the survey, which takes approximately 15 minutes to complete, and sharing in with your network.
