EU’s first Anti-Poverty Strategy is open for public consultation

The European Commission has opened the public consultation and call for evidence the Anti-Poverty Strategy, the first of its kind at EU level. This initiative aims to provide protection to people and tackle the root causes of poverty.
To increase community participation, the Commission is looking for the advice of organisations, experts, and citizens to help form and define the new Strategy.
EU’s first-ever Anti-Poverty Strategy will help with putting the European Pillar of Social Rights into action, as the European Union works to advance social inclusion and reduce the number of people in poverty by at least 15 million by 2030.
While the Anti-Poverty Strategy will be presented next year, the public consultation and the call for evidence are now open for submissions until 24 October 2025.
