Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) in Europe: reinforcing the continuous professional development of ECEC staff

The European Commission working group on Early Childhood Education and Care Group will hold a webinar on Monday 13th September on national and local strategies and working methods to further professionalise ECEC staff in Europe.

The European Commission working group on Early Childhood Education and Care discusses how to develop high-quality early childhood education and care (ECEC) systems across Europe. It builds on the results achieved by the previous Working Group (2012-2014), which developed the European Quality Framework for this sector.

The group will hold a webinar on Monday 13 September 14.00-16.00 discussing national and local strategies and working methods to further professionalise ECEC staff in Europe. It will include presentations of strategies from France, Norway, Italy and Sweden, as well as the findings of the NESET report 'Transforming European ECEC services and Primary schools into professional learning communities: Drivers, barriers and ways forward' presentation and the Erasmus+ KA3 project VALUE.

Stakeholders and colleagues are encouraged to ask their questions during the live event.

The next and last webinar of this series will be held in October (date not set yet), on the topic of including children with disabilities and children with a migrant background.

The summary of the working group's findings is available here in all EU languages, along with conclusions from other ET2020 Working groups.
