Job description

We are looking for a junior profile willing to develop further skills in an exciting working environment in EASPD’s headquarters in Brussels.

As a Communication and Membership Assistant, you will support both communication and membership activities, working under the direct supervision of the Head of Operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital communication, stakeholder engagement and membership management within a European association.

Within this role your expected tasks will include:

  • Supporting the implementation and promotion of EASPD’s brand identity across all communication channels
  • Creating, updating, and maintaining content on the organisation’s website
  • Developing engaging content for social media platforms (Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn) and assisting in planning and executing campaigns
  • Supporting communication with EASPD members
  • Maintaining and updating the membership database, ensuring data accuracy and consistency
  • Contributing to the dissemination and visibility of EASPD’s activities, events, and publications
  • Providing administrative support to the Secretary General related to governance processes
  • Assisting with direct mailing campaigns (e.g., Mailchimp) and audience engagement
  • Supporting general operational and administrative tasks as required

 

Job Requirements

Essential:

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) and proficiency in at least one additional European language
  • Strong writing, editing, and research skills in English
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and share knowledge effectively
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Familiarity with digital communication tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite)
  • Experience with website content management systems (CMS)

Additional skills:

  • Interest in the disability sector and social policy at European level
  • Experience working in or with multicultural and international teams
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team context
  • Proactive mindset with a strong sense of initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

 

Terms of the Contract
  • A 6-month contract under the Belgian Convention d’Immersion Professionelle (CIP) format, that could be renewed once.
  • The selected person must have a valid permit to work and live in the EU/Belgium.
  • The workstation is at the EASPD headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. The work schedule is a minimum of 40% of your working time in the office per week.
  • Contract 38 hours per week; remuneration at approximately €1095 per month +7€/day meal vouchers + 12 days of leave
  • Starting date: approximately 27 July 2026.
