Call for Tender: Research on Human-Rights Based Support for Carers of Persons with Disabilities

EASPD is looking for a researcher to conduct a study on human-rights based support and cooperation with carers of persons with disabilities.

The European Association of Service providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD) is looking a researcher or research team for the study: "Human-Rights Based Support and Cooperation with Families and Informal Carers of Persons with Disabilities."

The study will focus on the intersection of caregiving and support services with a human-rights perspective. It will:

  1. Evaluate family support systems across Europe: Highlighting how they meet the diverse needs of informal carers and persons with disabilities.
  2. Identify challenges faced by informal carers: Including their social, emotional, financial, and physical burdens.
  3. Explore best practices and policies: Showcasing programmes that balance caregiver support with empowering persons with disabilities.
  4. Provide actionable recommendations: For EU institutions, national governments, and civil society to strengthen caregiving systems sustainably and equitably.

Your work will contribute to:

  • Shaping discussions at the EASPD Conference in Turin (October 2025).
  • Influencing future policy and practice in carer support.

Are you a passionate researcher or a research team with expertise in social services and disability? Apply by January 23rd, 2025, 23:59 CET!

Here's what we need:

  • A motivation letter (max. 1 page).
