Between 20-21 October, the European Association of Service providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD) and Fondazione Paideia will host their international conference ‘Empowering families, enabling self-determination: Rethinking support at every life stage' in Turin, Italy.

The conference will:

• Address how disability services can strengthen collaboration with people with disabilities and their families to promote self-determination and well-being at every stage of life.
• Explore how disability services can adapt to the changing needs of people with disabilities and their caregivers, with particular attention to key life transitions.

The conference will also host EASPD’s General Assembly (GA) on Wednesday, 22 October. To support the participation of EASPD members in the conference, the GA and Member Fora Meetings, EASPD is offering grants of up to €300 to cover travel and/or accommodation costs.

Terms and conditions for eligibility of this grant

• EASPD full-member organisations are eligible to receive a grant.
• Organisations are only eligible to receive one grant.
• To receive the payment, selected candidates will be required to publish at least one article on their organisation’s website to promote registrations for the conference before the event and a second article on their experiences at the conference after the event.
• The grant will be provided after the submission of the costs and proofs, following the provided reimbursement procedures. You may use the grant to cover the travel, hotel and subsistence costs.
• Attendance at EASPD meetings and events is required to receive the grant. This includes attendance to the:
  • Conference: 21-21 Oct
  • General Assembly: 22 October
  • One Member Fora Meeting: Taking place on the 19-21 October.
