Shaping inclusive transitions at the Disability Inclusion Summit 2026

EASPD Member Sened NGO will bring on-the-ground expertise to the Disability Inclusion Summit on 16 February.

Our Turkish Member Sened NGO will contribute to the programme of the fourth Annual Disability Inclusion Summit organised by Relief International.

This year’s summit will take place on 16 February 2026 and focus on “From Earthquake to Liberation, From Liberation to Today: Disability and Age-Inclusive Responses, Transitions and Returns”. The event will bring together UN agencies, policymakers, researchers, international and local NGOs, and technical experts to reflect on the post-earthquake context in Türkiye and to discuss inclusive transition and return processes. Particular attention will be given to vulnerable populations and to ensuring continuity of services between Türkiye and Syria.

The discussions will centre on lessons learned from the earthquake response, the ongoing transition and post-transition phases, and emerging gaps affecting persons with disabilities, older persons and other at-risk groups.

Sened will have a dedicated session, highlighting its expertise and long-standing engagement in disability-inclusive responses in crisis and post-crisis settings.

The summit aims to encourage knowledge exchange, shared learning and practical recommendations to inform future programmes and advocacy, reinforcing the importance of inclusive approaches throughout humanitarian transitions.
