One year of EQUAL-CARE project: Looking back and ahead

EQUAL-CARE partners gathered in Barcelona for a three days of training and planning for the year ahead.

For three days, EQUAL-CARE partners gathered in Barcelona for two meetings that marked the end of the first year of the project's activities.

Trainers from Austria, Finland, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Slovenia and Spain were introduced to course modules that focus on equipping professionals with the skills and knowledge to ensure gender equality in the workplace. Through the course they learnt about EU law in the field of gender equality, fighting discrimination and stereotypes, ensuring equal opportunities, etc. The trainers were taught how to deliver these courses to both care workers, and managers and HR in the disability care services sector.

The last day was dedicated to discussing key achievements of the first year of the project:

Activities planned for the second year of the project were also presented, and will consists notably of:

  • Implementation of training in pilot areas. Trainers will take their learnings from Barcelona and deliver training at local level in the respective countries.
  • Webinars and the awareness raising campaign. Our next webinar "Breaking the Mold: Redefining Gender Roles" will take place on 12 March at 10:00.

EASPD will continue to update you on the project development during this last and final year.
