As negotiations on the next EU long-term budget (2028–2034) move forward, Member States are set to play a decisive role in shaping the outcome. To support organisations in engaging at this crucial stage, EASPD and the EUFunds4Social coalition are launching a new set of advocacy resources to help national organisations understand the proposals, engage with decision-makers and advocate for a stronger social dimension in the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF). 

These resources are designed to help organisations across Europe take part in the debate, build stronger national advocacy efforts and ensure that future EU funding continues to support people, quality social services and inclusive communities. 

The coalition is today launching: 

• The EUFunds4Social webpage, bringing together the coalition's priorities, campaign updates, advocacy materials and key information on the negotiations. 

• The EU MFF National Mobilisation Toolkit, providing practical guidance, key messages and materials to help organisations engage with national governments, influence their country's position during the MFF negotiations and contribute to the development of future National and Regional Partnership Plans. 

Together, these resources will help organisations strengthen their advocacy, coordinate their messages and make their voices heard throughout the negotiations. 

To complement these advocacy tools, EASPD has also published a new briefing paper unpacking the European Commission's proposal for the next Multiannual Financial Framework and explaining what it means for social services, disability inclusion and social investment. 

The briefing highlights the main opportunities and challenges within the proposal, explains how the negotiations will unfold over the coming months and identifies key moments where organisations can engage and influence the outcome. Whether you are already familiar with EU funding or approaching the MFF for the first time, it provides the context needed to understand what is at stake and why these decisions matter for people and communities across Europe. 

The decisions taken over the coming months will shape European investment priorities for the years to come. By combining practical advocacy tools with accessible policy analysis, EASPD and the EUFunds4Social coalition aim to equip national organisations with the knowledge and resources they need to engage effectively and advocate for an EU budget that delivers for people.
