Join the European Mental Health Week from 19 to 25 May!

This year's theme is exploring the links between mental health and social rights.

Set up and run by Mental Health Europe, the largest independent mental health NGO in Europe, the sixth edition of European Mental Health Week is taking place between the 19 and 25 May. This week-long initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of mental health in our everyday lives, and it will provide an opportunity to to discuss mental health, highlight the need for action, improve understanding of the factors that shape mental health, and celebrate success in policymaking.

This year's theme is "Care for mental health, invest in social rights", and it encourages to think beyond the biomedical approach to mental health. Poverty, unemployment and inequality affect our mental health. A stronger society means better mental health for all.

In this regard, Mental Health Europe is looking for your support to shift the focus towards tackling the root causes of poor mental health. You can find out more on the event website. If you are planning any activities that spotlight how social conditions like poverty, inequality, and access to education, housing, or employment shape mental health, you can apply to have it promoted on the official calendar by filling out this form.
