Integrating technology into classrooms

Join us for the 2nd ADEDU webinar on the role of technology in inclusive classrooms.

Making classrooms inclusive for people with disabilities requires overcoming many barriers. One significant barrier is inaccessible tools and learning materials. Often teaching methods and even the textbooks don’t consider learning diversities in a classroom.

Technology can play a huge role in overcoming this barrier. Assistive technology can help students with different disabilities to progress better in their class. However, it is important to ensure that technology does not end up becoming a barrier in itself.

The ADEDU project is hosting its second webinar in a series of 10 webinars on the role of technology in inclusive education. It will take place on 18 March from 10:30-11:30 CET as part of the All Digital weeks.

We will discuss the module from the ADEDU course on integrating technology into making classrooms inclusive for people with disabilities. The ADEDU course is for adult educators to make their classrooms more inclusive.

A second part of the webinar will focus on some tips for educators on using assistive technology in their classrooms. We will specifically focus on the UNICEF report, “The use of Assistive Technology in Education: A Guide for Teachers and Schools” which was published in 2022. The author of the report, Katerina Mavrou will talk about some key elements of this report.
