INCLUSIVE-PATH opens doors after school

Choosing what comes after secondary education can be challenging for any young person. For individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDDs), this transition is often even more complex due to limited information, uncertainty about available opportunities, and the lack of accessible guidance.
The INCLUSIVE-PATH project is working to change this by equipping educators, families, and learners with innovative tools that make this important life transition more inclusive, engaging, and empowering.
An important milestone was reached during the Second Transnational Project Meeting, hosted by Emphasys Centre in Nicosia, Cyprus, on 18 and 19 June 2026. During the meeting, project partners had the opportunity to discuss the upcoming deliverables of the project, including the capacity-building and awareness-raising handbook for educators, and the first draft of the Pathways Explorers game for learners, parents and supporters. Partners reviewed the games’ initial scenarios, gameplay mechanics, accessibility features, and educational content. The group collaboratively evaluated the tools, exchanged feedback, and identified further improvements to ensure that the final game and handbook meet the needs of young people with IDDs, their families, and educators.
Alongside this, partners reviewed progress across the project, coordinated the upcoming pilot activities, and planned the upcoming events in the project to ensure it is spread as widely as possible.
As development continues, we are confident that INCLUSIVE-PATH will can create powerful tools for inclusion, helping every learner navigate the journey towards lifelong learning with greater confidence and autonomy.
