The right to live independently encompasses many aspects, from accessible infrastructure and the freedom to travel, to accessing quality education and meaningful employment opportunities.

To explore these issues through a human lens, EASPD invites its friends and partners to a screening of the Hungarian documentary-action film Nyomik / Crips. This 45-minute film follows four people with disabilities on a holiday to Lake Balaton. With humour and honesty, it offers an unfiltered glimpse into lives that are often unseen or misunderstood, while highlighting the everyday barriers created by inaccessible societies and support. As such, it also highlights what is needed to create real equal opportunities through high-quality support systems.

Following the screening, guests are invited to stay for networking drinks and a presentation of the BeInclusive micro-learning videos. Over the past 24 months, EASPD and seven European partners have collaborated to create innovative learning videos and guides to empower job placement professionals and inspire small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to employ people with disabilities, promoting equal opportunities and sustainable inclusion in the labour market.
