EASPD Knowledge Café: Use of Artificial Intelligence in Social Care and Support Services for Persons with Disabilities

Join this webinar to explore how AI is transforming social care for persons with disabilities and the opportunities and challenges ahead.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly being integrated into social care and support services for persons with disabilities. AI systems, especially those based on natural language processing, have become a useful tool to automate routine administrative tasks, streamline care coordination, and support independent living. However, despite these promising developments, challenges such as digital literacy, ethical considerations, and the need for sustainable funding remain key concerns to address to ensure AI complements human care and support without compromising personal autonomy.

This Knowledge Café will present the latest research report on the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Social Care for Persons with Disabilities. This report, developed by Policy Impact Lab for the European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD), offers an in‐depth analysis of how AI tools are currently transforming social care and support, the benefits they provide in enhancing independence and streamlining care and support delivery, as well as the challenges and policy implications for the future.
