DIGIT-ABLE transnational training “Assistive technologies at work: Removing barriers and unlocking human potential”

Date & Time: 13 May, 15:00 – 17:00
Technology is often introduced to optimise processes or increase efficiency, yet too rarely is it designed to truly support the people doing the work. The DIGIT-ABLE project aims at enhancing the capacities and skills of Social Enterprises, WISEs and service providers, with a specific focus on those providing services to people with disabilities.
This specific training, offered by the DIGIT-ABLE project, strengthens the digital capacity of social enterprises, particularly work integration social enterprises (WISEs) and service providers supporting people with disabilities and other disadvantaged groups.
Learning Outcomes:
In this session, participants will explore how assistive technologies can make work more inclusive, sustainable and effective for people with disabilities. Using real-world examples from industrial, non-industrial, social and traditional economy contexts, the focus is on reducing barriers in the workplace.
Participants will examine physical, cognitive and psychosocial challenges at work, and learn how human-centred technologies can address them while improving productivity, quality and well-being.
Target Audience:
- Staff, supervisors and management of social enterprises, particularly WISEs and organisations providing labour-related services to people with disabilities.
- HR, well-being and prevention professionals engaged in inclusive and sustainable work practices.
- Policy makers and advisors in labour, inclusion and digitalisation.
Follow-up Activity:
This training will be followed by the DIGIT-ABLE Peer-Learning Seminar “Driving human-centred digital transformation: From ambition to adoption” during the EASPD Conference Leading Change in Disability Services on 14 May, 15:00 – 16:30.
Grants & Registration:
The project offers up to €400 per organisation to support travel costs for participating in these activities. Organisations interested in participating (including financial support) can apply here: DIGIT-ABLE Training and Peer-Learning Seminar in Porto, Portugal
