Inclusive sports activities create opportunities for everyone, regardless of ability, to participate, thrive, and connect through the power of sport. However, the visibility of inclusive sports and diversifying the stories portrayed in sports journalism remains a key challenge. The SIMS project addresses this gap by fostering collaboration between media professionals and organisations promoting inclusive sports to amplify stories of diversity and equal opportunities.
This event will:
- Identify the challenges in raising awareness for diversity in sport and inclusive sporting activities.
- Identify how organisations that promote and develop inclusive sports activities and events can work with journalists to increase the visibility of their activities.
- Share the resources of the SIMS project.
