"Barrier-Free Public Transport" Summer School: an international learning opportunity in Vienna

Our Austrian member Hilfsgemeinschaft der Blinden und Sehschwachen Österreichs is co-hosting a Summer School for international students in Vienna, at WU Vienna University of Economics and Business.
This July, the Institute for Transport and Logistics Management will organise a summer program on the topic of Barrier Free Public Transport (BFPT) and the intersection of public transport, accessibility, and European integration. The curriculum combines lectures, workshops, and field trips, emphasising the need to create transportation networks that address diverse travellers’ needs. Indeed, the aim of this course is developing accessible, cross-border, and inclusive public transport systems.
Virtual sessions are scheduled for 1 July and 22 July 2025, while in-person activities will run from 7 to 11 July 2025, at WU Vienna, including a field trip to Slovakia. The program is conducted in English and is open to students at all academic levels who are passionate about inclusive societies.
Students can apply until 28 February 2025, and the number of participants is limited to 30. Learn more and register here.
