ACCESSIBILITECH webinar presents mapping tool enhancing access to inclusive technologies

The webinar is set to present a new mapping tool that has been developed by the ACCEESIBILITECH project to bring forward best practices to make technology more inclusive and accessible.

Making technology accessible and inclusive requires a holistic effort and in doing so, ACCESSIBILITECH project has designed a mapping tool that has been created to gather data on accessible technological solutions, at all levels of maturity, with potential to improve the experience of all people in Telework, eLearning and Telecare.

The project is led by FundaciĆ³n ONCE, who will be presenting the first version of this mapping tool for accessible technologies at a webinar on Thursday, February 17 from 10 to 11:30 am (CET).

The main aim of the mapping tool is to offer reliable information of identified solutions, allowing people with disabilities to select the technologies that best fits their needs. During the webinar the participants will be shown how the map works and how they can contribute to the database by entering information about accessible technological solutions using a manual feed.

This event will be opened by Inmaculada Placiencia Porrero, senior Expert in Disability and Inclusion at Directorate-General Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion at the European Commission.

Furthermore, ACCESSIBILITECH will offer a series of workshop and activities in 2022, aimed at providing knowledge to all people on accessible technologies in Telework, eLearning and Telecare and accessibility in general. More information on these workshop series will be discussed during the webinar.
