New Services for Employment with EASPD and Vision Agency

EASPD and the Agency for Social Development Vision (Bulgaria) have started their joint work on the New Services for Employment Project. The general objective of the project is to develop an international partnership with leading European social services providers to research, summarize and adapt the European experience in providing these services in Bulgaria to ensure effectiveness of services and implement a new methodology in Bulgaria - "supported employment".

5 December 2013, Policy Seminar on Self-Directed Support

The significance of this topic has enabled EASPD to organise a seminar on self-directed support systems that will take place in Brussels on the 5th of December. The seminar will deal with ways to allow individuals to take the lead in identifying the support they require to achieve the outcomes that are important to them, therefore designing the support that best suits their specific needs.

EDITORIAL

We live in fascinating times were things change so fast that we might not even notice the importance of certain developments. Allow me to share a few remarkable recent trends that will have an impact on our sector and far beyond. Istanbul, late September 2013. 350 delegates discuss employment of persons with a disability in Europe. I’m sure all delegates will agree that this event, organized by EASPD with the very much appreciated support and cooperation of the Turkish authorities, brought a few important changes of tendency to the surface.
