EASPD brings service providers at the international Disaster Risk Reduction conference in Davos

From 24th to 28th August 2014, EASPD took part in the 5th International Disaster and Risk Conference (IDRC) in Davos, Switzerland. Under the title “Integrative Risk Management - The role of science, technology & practice”, this international conference was organised by the Global Risk Forum, a non-profit organisation founded in 1988, in cooperation with the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDIR). The event had the scope to provide opportunities for the exchange of knowledge, know-how, and education, in the field of Disaster and Risk Reduction.

TTIP: a threat to the quality of social services in Europe

The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) is a trade agreement that is currently being negotiated between the European Union and the United States of America. EASPD is in favour of further cooperation, but only if it is in the interest of the people on both sides of the atlantic, including people with disabilities and those most vulnerable. International conference on supported employment for persons with disabilities in Turkey

The association Jugend am Werk Steiermark together with the partners of the project “T-EST” organise an international conference on the employment of people with disabilities in İzmir, Turkey on September 19th 2014. This final conference will focus on the Supported Employment Tool developed by EUSE and participants will show best practices on supported employment for persons with disabilities in their countries.
