Towards Creative Inclusion in Adult Education

The first multiplier event of the CIAE project will take place next 18th of September at the EESC premises in Brussels, Belgium. Participants will discuss the main challenges and opportunities for the inclusion of adult learners with disabilities in arts education in Europe and present the first outcomes of the project.

The event will be have 4 parts:

  • Round table “The European Policy Framework”. Presentation of the CIAE report on the state of play of arts education for adults with disabilities in Europe and debate with high-level guests on the European policy framework.
  • Discovering the good practices. A collation and guidelines of good practices in the field of arts education for adults with disabilities will be showcased, as guests from different European countries will explain their own good practice examples in first person.
  • Open dynamic debate: "Sharing ideas and experiences for a creative inclusion in adult education". This dynamic debate session will bring participants from different backgrounds the opportunity to know more about the good practices, comment their own experiences, exchange ideas and share proposals to improve the outcomes of the CIAE Project.
  • Networking lunch: "Bringing stakeholders together". This free lunch will provide participants with the opportunity to meet each other and strengthen the collaboration among stakeholders and organisations in the field of adult education for persons with disabilities.

This event is organised under the framework of the Erasmus+ Project “Creative Inclusion in Adult Education”, which main objective is the cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices on arts education for adults with disabilities.

The project is carried out by different partners from the disability sector and different European countries: COPE Foundation (Ireland), EASPD (Europe), ENCC (Belgium), ASVO (Italy) and LADAPT (France), as well as the e-learning organisation Cork Institute of Technology (Ireland).
