Employment for all!: Registrations open for 2018 Conference

The right to work is a fundamental right and forms an inseparable and inherent part of human dignity. For many people with disabilities they are unable to fully exercise this right, despite Article 27 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights for People with Disabilities (UN CRPD) asserting the right of people with disabilities to work, on an equal basis with others.

To support the full implementation of the Article 27 and the UNCRPD EASPD and its partners, Dabei-Austria, the European Platform for Rehabilitation, the European Union for Supported Employment, Austrian Disability Council and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Consumer Protection are hosting the 2018 Employment for all Conference on 27th September in Vienna, Austria.

The conference, which is a part of the programme Austrian presidency of the Council of the European Union, will address strategies that facilitate the full implementation of the UN CRPD and the employment of people with disabilities.

To do this the event will:

  • Analyse International and European Disability Policy
  • Explore the current state of national labour market development across Europe
  • Identify the current challenges to the employment of all discus how these challenges can be overcome
  • Look to the future and the steps we must take to ensure employment for all!

Participation at the event is free, to register send an email with your name and details to conference@dabei-austria.at.
