The EEG responds to the reflection paper on the future of EU finances

The European Expert Group on the Transition from Institutional to Community-based Care (EEG) has prepared a response to the reflection paper on the future of the finances of the European Union (EU).

As part of a series of reflections on the Future of Europe, the European Commission released a reflection paper on the future of European Union finances, available here.

The report, released in June, was reviewed by the European Expert Group on the Transition from Institutional to Community-based Care (EEG). The EEG prepared a 4 page document, calling for an efficient funding, through 3 main actions:

  1. Further investment into Cohesion policy;

2. Strengthening, extending and ensuring efficient monitoring;

3. Reform and simplification of the funding processes.
