We are hapy to announce that the project Audience blending by Arts - ABBA Europe was selected has one of the 66 smaller scale cooperation projects for Creative Europe 2017.
This project intends to exploring new ways to produce inclusive arts, for inclusive audiences.
It will have 3 main activities:
- Develop cooperation between cultural centres and service providers for person with disabilities in terms of audience development (inclusive performance for audiences) and inclusive performes.
- Encourage deaf and hearing artists to collaborate by piloting the play "guardians of dreams" and developing a new theatre technique - Innovative Bilingual Theatre (IBT) which uses integrated sign and spoken language.
- Develop ways to adapt IBT for other different needs and media.
The pilot IBT performance is a play produced by 6 partner countries, and premiered and toured in each.
The project concludes with a conference in Brussels, (International Deaf Week, 9/19). This will include results and feedback from the workshops and performances, and will present the guidelines and the recommendations for European policy makers.
The project counts with 9 partners. It will be lead by GC De Zeyp ( Belgium - Cultural Centre) and partners include EASPD, Esteetön taide ja kulttuuri ry (Finland - Art Association), University of Wolverhampton - Faculty of Arts (United Kingdom), Vo'Arte (Portugal - Cultural Centre), Centar za kulturu Tresnjevka (Croatia - Cultural Centre), ENCC - EUROPEAN NETWORK OF CULTURAL CENTRES ( Belgium), UDRUGA KAZALISTE, VIZUALNE UMJETNOSTI I KULTURA GLUHIH DLAN ( Croatia - Theatre), and Theatre Tsvete (Hungary).
