To celebrate the first anniversary of the European Pillar of Social Rights (EPSR) Social Platform, the largest network of European rights- and value-based civil society organisations, is to exhibit the work of civil society organisations in implementing the Pillar’s principles.
The exhibition will be held as a part of the Social Platform’s event, co-hosted with the Portuguese government on 29th-30th November 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal. The event will take-stock of what has been achieved in the last year as well as look forward to the future and what more can be done to create a more social Europe.
In its collection of best practices to be showcased at the exhibition Social Platform is looking for projects corresponding to the three chapters of the Social Pillar:
- Equal opportunities and access to the labour market (encompassing quality and inclusive education; training and lifelong learning; gender equality; equal opportunities and active support to employment)
- Fair working conditions (encompassing secure and adaptable employment; fair wages; information about employment conditions and protection in case of dismissals; social dialogue and involvement of workers; work-life balance and healthy, safe and well-adapted work environment and data protection)
- Social protection and inclusion (encompassing childcare and support to children; social protection; unemployment benefits; minimum income; old age income and pensions; health care; inclusion of persons with disabilities; long-term care; housing and assistance for the homeless and access to essential services)
To submit your work, for the chance to be featured in Social Platform’s exhibition, respond to the attached submission form and return it along with the project/organisation logo and minimum 2 photos (quality 300 dpi) by 14 September 2018 to email@example.com. Please note that due to the format of the exhibition the photos and direct testimonies are not optional.
