What happened last week in Malta?

EDF organised a conference on promoting equal opportunities to decent work which took place in the framework of their Board meeting this weekend in Malta. It was organised in close cooperation with the Malta Federation of Organisations of Persons with Disability and with the support of the European Union and the Maltese Presidency of the Council of the European Union. EASPD was present.

This publication summarises the milestones of the past 20 years whilst looking at the future challenges for the years to come to achieve high-quality support services for persons with disabilities in Europe.

Yesterday, the European Commission launched its country reports, analysing the economic and social challenges in the European Union Member States. Since 2013, the European Association of Service providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD) has been calling on the European Commission to do more to help develop high quality support services through these Country Reports and more broadly the European Semester. EASPD is pleased to see far more messages in the Country Reports aiming to break down barriers for persons with disabilities through high quality support services.


The European Association of Service providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD) launches two studies to provide evidence that developing inclusive labour markets for persons with disabilities brings economic and social return for governments, society, businesses and persons with disabilities.


Launch of Improving Assistance in Educational Settings: a new project that explores the range of support offered in different education systems.
