Inclusive Education

Everyone has the right to education.

We believe that education helps people to be a part of an inclusive community.
To be inclusive is important. It means everyone can take part, and everyone has a fair chance.
A community is a group of people living in the same area.

The United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD) says that disabled people have the same rights as everyone else.

It says what governments should do to make sure this happens.
The UNCRPD says that:
  • Disabled people should be included in education
  • Disabled people should have the same chances in education as other people in their community.
  • Disabled people should have extra support if they need it.

What we have done

We have written reports. They say what policy makers should do to make education more inclusive.
Policies are the rules about how we do things.

We have organised training courses to help schools become inclusive.

Projects help us
• find out new things
• share information
• and find new ways of working
to make things better for disabled people.

We took part in the INVESTT project. The aim of the project was to give inclusive training for disabled people to get a job.
